Bloc Fest Christchurch
Bloc Fest features a new style of bouldering comp, with a format that’s built for the whole climbing community.
Five qualification tiers means you’re climbing against people at your level, with the top six male and top six female climbers from four tiers going through to the finals rounds on the day.
Here’s how it works:
Choose your qualification session when you buy a ticket.
Choose your session—three two-hour slots run from 8:30am, 10:45am and 1:00pm.
Log your best results on 30 problems, across the full grade spectrum.
Finals rounds are divided into four tiers; three score-based Open tiers, plus Youth A (U17). With cash prizes for Open categories!

Beyond the Comp
Expect a full day of goodness, with plenty going on, whether you’re between attempts, cheering on a mate, or just here for the vibe.
Live music from DJs VJO, Boschi, Berra and BKay will keep the energy high all day.
Drop into a yoga workshop or strength and mobility session with Sav between rounds, hit the Ocean Ember sauna and cold plunge, or book in with our on-site physios for a pre-climb massage (or post-climb damage control).
