Courses and Workshops

A lot of climbers reach a plateau, they can’t get past a certain grade even though they climb regularly. These targeted small-group gym classes, led by our personal trainer & climbing coach Ilya, will take you through the exercises, movements and training to build strength, power and mobility for progress on the wall.

Tuesdays from 6pm for 50 minutes.

Come along to any single class, or get maximum gains and book for the series.

Classes are only $15 per class (plus membership or a day pass).

Each week has a key focus area:

Week 1: Overhang tension training  – 11 Nov
Week 2: Core stability & tension – 18 Nov
Week 3: High-feet/hip mobility – 25 Nov
Week 4: Power generation/explosiveness – 2 Dec
Week 5: Compression strength – 9 Dec
Week 6: Building up climbing strength – 16 Dec

This session will be led by Kolbi, a local physiotherapist & climber. Come along to identify risk factors for upper body injuries in climbing.

We will have an education component to go over concepts, followed by practical sessions trying the exercises that are taught. There will be strength assessments for climbers to do, if interested, using a Tindeq as well as force plates and dynamometers. The session is free for members! Usual day pass rates apply to non-members.

Tuesday 28th October. 7:30pm – 8:30pm.

Spaces are limited, so book now.
