Includes a Cleaning Kit
Every rental comes with a small cleaning kit to help keep our outdoor crags in good shape. Use it to give holds a quick scrub before or after climbing.
It’s a small gesture that makes a big difference.
Chalk and shoe rubber build up fast
Dirty holds = polished rock = worse climbing for everyone
Give holds a brush, especially before walking away from a climb.
If the rock feels damp, wait it out or save it for next time – limestone soaks up water under the surface and can weaken when wet.
Climbing in the Castle Hill Basin?
Castle Hill is one of the most iconic bouldering areas in the world. It’s also on land that holds cultural and historical significance. Some areas (like Flock Hill) are private property, and others (like Kura Tāwhiti) are protected public land.
Please:
Respect the space – follow access guidelines and signage
Stick to paths and open areas
Keep your impact low so the climbing community stays welcome.
Rent. Climb. Respect. Return.
That’s the whole vibe.
If you’ve got any questions about Castle Hill, conditions, or where to climb, just ask – we’re happy to help.
