La Sportiva Open Bouldering Championships are coming to Boulder Co.!

Boulder Co. is stoked to announce we are hosting the La Sportiva Open Bouldering Championships this September!

Run by the team at Climbing New Zealand, this prestigious event crowns the male and female Open Bouldering Champions for 2022/2023, and is an amazing spectacle to behold.

If you’re not keen on competing, grab some mates and come along to support and watch the best climbers New Zealand has to offer!

We respectfully ask anyone competing to avoid the gym from Thursday 22nd September to avoid disqualification while we set!

– SETTING INFORMATION –

In order to set competition climbs for this event, Boulder Co. will need to close the Comp Overhang side of the main walls on Thursday 22nd September, Friday 23th September and for the competition on Saturday 24th September

We will also be closing the gym to public climbing from 5pm on Saturday 24th September, in order to provide the best environment possible for our competitive climbers.
